This research paper aims to identify and elaborate on the main challenges facing the Health Sector in Jordan and its competitiveness, in addition to outlining a way forward for the sector. It entails an exploration of the structure, governance, and finance of the Kingdom’s Healthcare Sector. It also investigates the main health insurance system framework in Jordan. The analysis was built on extensive desk-based research and consultations with key stakeholders to ensure practical recommendations for the way forward.
