Jordan’s National Social Protection Strategy

Mission entailed the full development of the first National Protection Strategy in Jordan; a mission overseen by Higher Steering Committee headed by Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation and Ministry of Social Development. To Excel has depended on a thorough analysis which was based on a detailed review of existing strategies, analysis of administrative and survey data and assessment of existing programs and policy options. Reaching to the formation of the strategy over 3 pillars: decent work and social security, social assistance and social services. Contributions from the government appointed task force were also reflected, through a series of weekly workshop discussions extended over six months’ period; where several visual presentations were conducted to facilitate those discussions, present the findings, interpretations and conclusions expressed in this work, obtain feedbacks and embed accordingly within the detailed analysis document, produced executive action plan and M&E framework. The mission got accomplished by the government endorsement of the strategy.
