In order to support the EU Neighborhood and Enlargement policy dialogue in the area of Human Capital Development, the ETF has commissioned a research study focusing on the situation of youth in relation to the changing labour market and social conditions from the SEMED regional perspective. Following a general analysis of the situation of youth in the region (both in employment and unemployed/inactive youth), the study investigates more in depth the youth situation in two partner countries (Jordan and Egypt) to analyse the situation of youth who are currently in employment and those who are not in employment or training (NEETs). The work involves a comprehensive desk review as well as primary data collection from young people
